Frequently Asked Questions

General Membership Questions

  • Allow 7 to 10 days for processing. Online registration and payments process more quickly than USPS, paper ones.

You will not receive an email or USPS notification.

After the processing time, you can go to the beach park and introduce yourself to the attendant on duty. Be prepared to show your picture ID and vehicle registration. The attendant will affix the window decal to the inside of your window. All decals are car-specific and not transferrable. On subsequent trips, slow down as you enter so the attendant can see your sticker.

  • Please allow between 7-10 days depending on the form of payment used. Online is faster than USPS. Please note that the confirmation following the online payment is simply confirming that your payment was successful. The membership still needs 7-10 days to process.

  •  On our website, under the Membership tab, locate and complete the membership that fits your situation. You may make the payment on the website. Pay the appropriate fees and include proof of ownership of your new home. Allow 10 days for processing, and then you may go to the beach park to obtain your membership decal from the attendant on duty. You will not receive confirmation by email or USPS.

  • No, as long as your membership is current, you only need to provide your new address. If your membership is not current but has not lapsed for more than 2 years, you only need to renew your membership, pay all applicable fees, and provide your new address.

  • Only one property (the one considered to be your residence) can have a general membership. All other properties are considered investment/rental properties and may only have memberships for the purpose of allowing tenants to access the beach park with paid rental memberships. New properties will need to pay the “New Member” fee.  Renters in any property beyond the primary one must meet all renter guidelines. See Renter Passes for more information.

  • If your adult children use your vehicle with the membership decal, they may use the Beach Park. If you’re unable to allow them to use your vehicle, you must pay for a houseguest pass for them to use during their stay. Houseguest passes may be purchased for periods of up to 2 weeks. Such passes must be picked up by you, the owner.  Request a houseguest pass here.

  • If your friends can use your vehicle with the membership decal, they may use the Beach Park without you. If you’re unable to allow them to use your vehicle, you must pay for a houseguest pass for your guests. Houseguest passes may be purchased for periods of up to 2 weeks.  Request a houseguest pass here.

  • After allowing for the processing time (7-10 days), your renter must go to the Beach Park, with their lease and photo ID, to show a Park Attendant who will set them up with their renter’s pass.

Rental Car and General Vehicle Sticker Questions

  • Yes. Rental car passes are temporary passes designated for a specific time period. They are offered as a convenience for MPOA members using rental cars.    The rental car paperwork must be in the name of the member.  Rental car passes can be obtained in person only at the Beach Park office, as follows:

    • Show the Beach Park attendant the rental car paperwork in the name of the member

    • The attendant will issue a hangtag dated for the period of the rental

    • This process will need to be repeated for each rental car period

  • You are allowed 3 decals (3 vehicles) for single-family owner memberships. For LLC’s/Trusts, where more than one family shares ownership of the property, 2 decals are allowed.

  • All stickers must be registered to the correct vehicle/license plate.  Take the sticker off of the old vehicle and bring it with the new vehicle to the Beach Park. Show the new registration in the name of the member, and the Park Attendants will update the MPOA system and assist you by affixing a sticker to the windshield.

Walker or Biker Questions

  • Walkers and bikers are always welcome. Walkers and bikers need to stop to check in with the attendant. Be prepared to show your picture ID to verify your membership on the official list in order to enter. We have multiple attendants and well over a 1,000 member families. They cannot be expected to know everyone so stop to see the attendant each time you enter. If you are a regular, the attendants will likely remember you. When that happens, be sure to still acknowledge that you are entering by stopping or pausing to visually ‘check in.’

  • Bike racks are located behind the bathroom building. That is the only place they should be left. Please lock your bike for your protection.

  • Unfortunately, too many people have seriously abused paper documents by giving, loaning, and even selling to non-members. For the safety of our members and due to the private status of our facilities, we need to know who is present.
